My Cloth Diaper Stash

One of my favorite things about cloth diapers is all the fun colors and prints. I love collecting new colors and prints, and I love trying out new types of diapers. Cloth diapers become addictive very quickly! My husband laughs saying that they are like drugs. I won a giveaway and decide to try cloth to "save money" and once I tried them I became addicted and forget all about saving money :)
I store my favorite diapers on a shelf on the left side of the table. Even my husband who doesn't understand my addiction had to admit that they looked "pretty cool" when I displayed them there. On the changing table I store my covers and fitteds in baskets:
I also have a box of cloth wipes on the changing table. Then to the right of the table in the diaper stacker I store my "ugly" diapers. My "ugly diapers" are diapers that I don't really like. Mainly they are from a lot of cheap diapers that I bought on ebay and didn't get to chose the prints. I use these diapers as my Desitin diapers. Yes, my Desitin diapers. I know that Desitin should not be used on diapers, and it has in fact ruined those diapers. However, I can't find a cloth diaper safe cream that works as well as Desitin, I love it. So, when my daughter has a rash and needs Desitin she wears the ugly diapers :) I also keep some of my extra inserts in the diaper stacker.
In addition to the diapers shown I also keep GroVia covers and stay dry inserts in my diaper bag. That way when we want to go somewhere, our bag is all set to go! Are you drooling over my stash yet? How do you store your diapers?

Toddlers and Christmas Trees

We got our Christmas tree yesterday! There is nothing better than the smell of a fresh tree. Paige had a blast decorating the tree and now she is having a blast un-decorating the tree! Oh Boy!

How I Became Addicted to Cloth Diapers...

My cloth diaper addiction started last November when I accidentally stumbled into the world of mom blogs and giveaways. I do not not remember what first led me to mom blogs or giveaways, but I do remember my first win. I won a Haan Steam Mop from Home Grown Families (http://www.homegrownfamilies.net/). Let's just say I was thrilled, I had never won anything in my life AND I had wanted a steam mop forever. After my first win I began to search out giveaways and entered any and every giveaway I could find. I was simply amazed at all the giveaways that were out there, it was like I had discovered a secret world. A short while later I won my very first diaper. It was a Kawaii OS pocket diaper from Contemplate cloth (http://contemplatecloth.blogspot.com/). At this point in time I was still not convinced cloth was for me, it seemed gross and old fashion. But, I was intrigued because there were so many obsessed moms out there. So, I continued to enter cloth giveaways and continued to do my research. Next I won a WAHM AIO diaper called Little Green Bean from Mommy's Favorite Things (http://www.mommysfavoritethings.com/). Still, I waited... Then, I hit the cloth diaper Jack Pot. I won a huge cloth diaper giveaway that consisted of a Perfect Bum fashion set, a Baby Babu pocket, a Sew is Your Baby pocket, a Sunbaby pocket, a Soft Bums diaper, a Glow Bug diaper, a BabeeGreens prefold, and detergent from Rockin' Green, EcoSprout, and A Happy Green Life. Thank you Serial Access Mom (http://serialaccessmom.blogspot.com/). That was it, I was excited to start cloth diapering. I knew I would need more diapers than that to start cloth diapering full time, so I began to search for cheap cloth diapers. My daughter was 13 months old already and I was not about to spend hundreds of dollars on diapers knowing that her diaper days were limited. I found a lot of 20 Happy Flute diapers on ebay for $80 in fun girly prints (seen in the picture above) and I was sold. *Gasp* I know, I bought cheap Chinese diapers...But, at the time they were cheap and that's what I was looking for. Since that time my stash has GREATLY increased and now I appreciate a more expensive diaper. I will show pictures of my extensive stash in a later post. Now, I am just another fluff addict out there. I am so thankful that I stumbled upon this secret world of giveaways and mom blogs!
